Who is Scott Rocklage?
Rocklage is Managing Parter at 5AM Ventures, and has been based in Boston since beginning his business in 2004. He has been a part of leadership roles in healthcare departments, helping to approve new drug applications in the U.S.
He has served various positions at Salutar & Catalytic and Cubist Pharmaceuticals. He has also been on a variety of boards, including Novira and Relypsa. He also served on boards that included Cidara, Espirus, Kinestral, Pulmatrix and Rennovia. What does all this tell you about Scott Rocklage? Rocklage has previously stated every day he works demands different things – in other words, Rocklage does not have a “typical” day. He originally studied at University Of California and after moved on to Massachusetts Institute of Technology, receiving a PHD in Chemistry. Rocklage, a brilliant doctor and scientist, has created over 30 U.S. patents and more than 100 publications about his innovative discoveries related to health.
Scott Rocklage joined the firm 5AM Ventures in 2003. When he joined, he became a Venture Partner, succeeding to Managing Partner as early as 2004.
Dr. Rocklage has over three decades worth of healthcare management experience and taken on strategic leadership responsibilities which ultimately led to the Federal Drug Administration approving three New Drug applications (as indicated above).
